Technology is not slowing down and neither should
you...

Finally we come to the last
article in the Useful Google tools series, which is about “Pace”.
By noticing changes in customer behaviour, acting on them quickly
and investing efficiently, businesses can get ahead in the
downturn. In responding to trends online, businesses can become
more agile offline.
39% of UK broadband users
ages 16-55 watch TV programmes on the Internet. Interestingly
enough, 33% of 12-24 year olds globally are contactable at all
times, even in their sleep. Twenty hours of video are uploaded to
YouTube every single minute - now that’s what you call huge numbers.

In the UK 55% of iPhone users and 34% of Smartphone users have used
web search, as opposed to 12% of total mobile phone users. “The worst
of times for the economy can be the best of times for firms to create
economic value” said Professor Don Sull from London Business School.

Make sure you optimise your
marketing and website by using
Google
Analytics which is a free tool showing you which sites,
search engines and keywords refer traffic to you, as well as how
many visitors land on your site.
|
Google Analytics gives you a range of measured
results, producing them in a way which is easy to understand and act
on.
So there we have it, pretty much the low-down on website
optimising, design, usability and more. I hope you’ve learnt some new
things along the way as it’s not all just about the website design;
it’s so much more than that.
