New Features for Local Business Ads

New Features for Local Business Ads

Posted 14 January 2009

Google has launched new features for its successful Local Business Ads option with the Google AdWords system.

What's new?

Local Business Ads (which display as Sponsored Links) shown on Google Maps now show more than simply a link to the advertiser's website. There is an info window with customised information which includes:

  • Directions
  • Street View
  • Save option
  • Send link option

Perhaps more important to advertisers is you can run reports on your Local Business Ads. It will provide information on many people click on the pop-up info window and which one of the links they clicked on (including the one to your site)

How will this help?

For users, more information at their fingertips is always useful. The faster they find the answer they're looking for, the more chances there are of using you.

The reports give you, the advertiser, more information on exactly what people are looking for. This allows you to tailor your website to suit, providing a more valuable user experience.
